early morning digger hunt....

Lucas, Elliott and Grammy went on a hunt for diggers and found a goldmine around the corner. The boys watched it all unfold for 45 mins.!! This was followed by serious sandpit play in the afternoon.

Hot enough for playing in the sprinklers on Sunday afternoon. Elliott and Lucas played for ages (until E turned blue..!)

Wednesday we put on our special glasses to help us find diggers. Not too difficult with all the road works and development happening in Hawkes Bay. It was a great day for Lucas. Pop picked up a brochure from the 'digger shop' for him to take for preschool news..!! We found big diggers, orange, yellow, green, dirty, new, working, sleeping..... you get the picture.! We even followed a truck load of dirt that the digger had filled, just to see where it was dumped. Actually the truck just ended up at the depot. A bit disappointing after following it for 30mins.
